The Role

• Operate specialized heavy equipment (hostlers, cranes, top loaders, side loaders) to move shipping containers.
• Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks, ensuring efficient yard operations.
• Safely stack, move, and organize containers within the intermodal yard.
• Conduct pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to maintain safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate daily tasks.
• Maintain a secure and compliant work environment following established safety protocols.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver’s license is mandatory for this position.
• Previous experience operating heavy machinery in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and a steadfast commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs and climbing.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends, based on union seniority.
• Basic communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
