Job Description

Role: Application Developer (APIs, Events, Platform Engineering)
Location: REMOTE (Onboarding process in person New Jersey, San Jose)
Duration: FULL TIME ROLE (FTE)
 
Key Responsibilities
· Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python and TypeScript.
· Build and manage contract-first APIs using OpenAPI/Swagger standards and API governance best practices.
· Develop event-driven solutions leveraging Amazon EventBridge, SQS, SNS, Lambda, and other AWS services.
· Design and implement API integrations, microservices, and reusable platform services.
· Implement fine-grained authorization and access control using Amazon Verified Permissions and Cedar policies.
· Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
· Collaborate with Architects, DevOps Engineers, Product Owners, and Engineering teams to define scalable platform solutions.
· Ensure application reliability, security, scalability, observability, and operational excellence.
· Create automated testing frameworks and implement CI/CD pipelines for application delivery.
· Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance.
· Contribute to platform engineering initiatives, developer experience improvements, and engineering best practices
