Senior Media Planner

Envisionit is an award-winning digital marketing agency in Chicago, and we’re hiring a Senior Media Planner to own media planning for one of our tourism accounts.

This is a hands-on, digital-first planning role. You’ll take approved strategies and build the plan that actually runs: channels, budgets and flighting across paid social, programmatic, search, CTV, with OOH, broadcast and airport in the mix. You’ll report to the Media Director, run the day-to-day plan and budget on your own, and be trusted to know when something needs to go up the chain.

You’ll join strategists, creatives and data nerds who like working together, push each other to do better work, and don’t take themselves too seriously while doing it. Hybrid for Chicagoland (in office Mon/Wed), or fully remote if you live elsewhere in IL or in FL, GA, IN, MI, MN, NV, SD or TN. We're not able to consider candidates living outside those states at this time.

What you’ll do:

• Build and own multi-channel media plans that turn strategy into campaigns ready to launch
• Adjust plans as performance data, optimizations, scope changes and client feedback come in
• Manage working media budgets from first allocation through every revision, including media authorizations
• Work with creative, strategy, analytics, & client services so that plans, specs and timelines stay aligned
• Own specs, the creative calendar and materials tracking so nothing reaches a vendor late or wrong
• Reconcile invoices, flowcharts and the budget tracker to the approved plan each month
• Negotiate annual vendor contracts (OOH, broadcast, airport) and secure performance metrics for custom placements

What you bring:

• 4+ years in media planning, with most of that time building digital plans
• Hands-on experience with flowcharts, budgets and flighting across multiple channels
• Tourism, travel or other multi-market account experience
• Working knowledge of traditional media and some vendor negotiation experience
• The kind of attention to detail that makes you the person others ask to double-check the numbers
• Comfort running your own workstream and working across teams

Perks, Salary & Benefits:
The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $100,000 USD. This is a good-faith estimate of the base pay scale for this position and any potential offers will ultimately be determined based on experience, education, skill set, and performance in the interview process.
