The role focuses on developing, modernizing, and sustaining secure and resilient network capabilities. The Role • Develop, modernize, and sustain secure and resilient network capabilities for critical defense operations. • Utilize expertise in network design, architecture, Layer 2/3 technologies, and system interoperability to enhance reliability and performance. • Contribute to engineering efforts including implementation planning, technical reviews, testing, and upgrades for enterprise-wide modernization. • Apply knowledge of routing and switching, encryption gear integration, IP engineering, and network transport layers. • Perform Tier III troubleshooting of complex network issues and interpret network diagrams and documentation. • Maintain a Secret clearance. What You'll Need • 2+ years of experience in network configuration, troubleshooting, or engineering support. • Experience with engineering implementation planning, sustainment engineering, or technical reviews. • Proficiency in routing and switching technologies and Layer 2/3 network protocols. • Knowledge of network design/architecture, OSI model concepts, transport layers, and system interoperability. • Familiarity with cryptographic equipment, network security technologies, and firewall implementations. • HS diploma or GED required.
