Job Title: Aladdin Test Manager
Location: Up to 3 days/week onsite in London

This role suits an experienced Test Manager with a strong record of delivering complex BlackRock Aladdin implementations, leading User Acceptance Testing (UAT), parallel runs and go-live readiness activities. You will define and drive end-to-end test strategy and governance, oversee defect management, and ensure clear exit criteria across transformation programmes. The position requires confidence in working with senior stakeholders and BlackRock teams, with the ability to challenge constructively, drive accountability and maintain delivery momentum. Experience with Aladdin Enterprise is essential, while knowledge of Aladdin Data Cloud (ADC) and Aladdin Accounting is highly desirable. Background in Wealth and Asset Management, including investment operations, IBOR/ABOR, accounting platforms, data migrations and operating model change, is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and execution of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for Aladdin implementation projects, ensuring coverage of all business-critical processes.
- Own and drive the end-to-end test strategy for complex transformation programmes, aligning testing activities with programme objectives and timelines.
- Establish and maintain robust test governance, including standards, processes and reporting to ensure consistent and controlled delivery.
- Manage defect identification, triage, tracking and resolution, working closely with technical and business teams to minimise impact on delivery.
- Coordinate and oversee parallel run activities to validate new Aladdin solutions against existing production environments and processes.
- Define clear go-live readiness criteria and exit criteria, and ensure these are met before production deployment.
- Engage proactively with senior client stakeholders and BlackRock teams, providing transparent updates and managing expectations throughout the test life cycle.
- Challenge assumptions and decisions where necessary to protect delivery quality, while maintaining strong relationships and accountability across teams.
- Collaborate with investment operations, IBOR/ABOR, accounting and data teams to ensure test scenarios accurately reflect real-world operating models.
- Support data migration testing, validating completeness, accuracy and integrity of data as part of Aladdin implementation and operating model changes.
- Identify risks and issues related to testing, propose mitigation plans and escalate appropriately to keep programmes on track.
- Produce clear test documentation, including test plans, test cases, defect reports and status dashboards for stakeholders.
Essential Skills
- Proven Experience as a Test Manager delivering BlackRock Aladdin implementation projects.
- Demonstrable expertise in leading User Acceptance Testing (UAT), parallel runs and go-live readiness for complex programmes.
- Strong ability to define and execute end-to-end test strategy and governance across transformation initiatives.
- Hands-on Experience with Aladdin Enterprise.
- Solid Background in defect management, including triage, prioritisation and resolution processes.
- Confidence in working with senior stakeholders and BlackRock teams, with the ability to challenge and drive accountability.
- Experience in Wealth and Asset Management environments, preferably with exposure to investment operations, IBOR/ABOR, accounting platforms, data migrations and operating model change.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Knowledge and hands-on Experience of Aladdin Data Cloud (ADC).
- Knowledge and hands-on Experience of Aladdin Accounting.
- Experience working on complex transformation programmes within financial services.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to present testing progress and risks clearly.
- Ability to work across cross-functional teams, including technology, operations and business stakeholders.
- Experience of testing in environments involving data migrations and changes to operating models.
