This employer is seeking a highly experienced Technical Writer to support critical programs within the Civilian Division. They are a reputable organization known for contributing to significant government initiatives and fostering a culture of precision and clarity in documentation.

The Role

• Review, revise, and edit technical documents, manuals, and instructions to ensure adherence to style guidelines and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to gather technical information and produce clear, concise written drafts.
• Standardize and format content for optimal clarity, flow, and readability, ensuring grammatical correctness and attention to detail.
• Maintain accurate records of technical documents, including key data and revision schedules.
• Develop original written content such as articles and talking points based on thorough research.
• Potentially assist with creating graphic concepts for effective communication of key messages.

What You'll Need

• Bachelor's degree (BA/BS).
• A minimum of 10 years of relevant technical writing experience.
• Proven ability to pass a Public Trust Security Investigation (US Citizenship is a strict requirement).
• Experience in records management processes and developing filing systems is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with Federally-mandated "plain language" principles is a plus.
• Experience with Adobe InDesign is considered an advantage.
