Essential Functions, Duties & Responsibilities: Includes the following: • Plans, conducts, and coordinates software development activities. • Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. • Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. • Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software. • Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities: No supervisory/management authority Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: (Basic Qualifications) • Bachelor's Degree in a related field with nine (9) years of related experience OR Master's Degree with seven (7) years of related experience. • Knowledge and experience developing multi-tiered or microservice applications. • Experience with at least one cloud platform. ie.

AWS, Azure, Google. • Containerization experience (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift). • Proficiency in CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, Jenkins). • Strong scripting experience. • Linux experience. • Must be a US Citizen. • This position requires an active Top Secret/SCI clearance. • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer; may occasionally require standing or moving about the office for extended periods. • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.

Work Environment: Work is performed primarily in a climate-controlled environment.
