You will design and oversee solutions across SAP platforms, ensuring that integration, data, and application architectures support evolving business needs in areas such as Finance and Asset/Plant Maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the enterprise architecture for SAP, ensuring alignment with Clean Core principles and long-term business objectives.
  • Define and maintain the target architecture for the transition from on-premises SAP S/4HANA to SAP RISE, including roadmap creation and governance.
  • Design and oversee integration architectures as interfaces move to SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI), ensuring robust, scalable, and secure integrations.
  • Guide and support the transition from SAP Solution Manager (SolMan) to SAP Cloud ALM (CALM), including defining processes, standards, and best practices.
  • Evaluate and design solutions leveraging SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and Datasphere, ensuring data and analytics platforms meet current and future business needs.

  • Provide architectural leadership and guidance to project teams, ensuring solutions adhere to enterprise architecture standards and Clean Core principles.
  • Assess the impact of proposed changes on the existing SAP landscape and provide recommendations to minimise risk and complexity.
  • Document architectural decisions, reference architectures, and guidelines to support consistent solution delivery across the SAP estate.
  • Work closely with IT and business teams to ensure that SAP solutions support regulatory, compliance, and programme commitments, including long-term regulatory change initiatives.

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience as an SAP Enterprise Architect, with responsibility for end-to-end solution and platform design.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, including experience with on-premises deployments and associated architectural patterns.
  • Demonstrable experience applying Clean Core principles within SAP environments to minimise customisation and simplify landscapes.
  • Hands-on experience designing or governing transformations to SAP RISE or similar SAP cloud offerings.
  • Solid understanding of SAP integration architectures, including practical experience with SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI).
  • experience with SAP Solution Manager and transitioning to SAP Cloud ALM (CALM), including process and tooling considerations.
  • Good understanding of SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and Datasphere, particularly in relation to data, analytics, and extension use cases.
  • Ability to work closely with Finance and Asset/Plant Maintenance functions, translating business requirements into SAP architectural designs.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to produce clear architectural documentation, standards, and guidelines for use across multiple project teams.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • experience contributing to large-scale regulatory or multi-year transformation programmes.
  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies applied within SAP landscapes.
  • experience in designing SAP solutions that support asset-intensive operations and plant maintenance processes.
  • Background in working within complex, multi-system environments where SAP integrates with a wide range of enterprise applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a structured approach to evaluating options and trade-offs.

Why Work Here?

You will join an organisation undergoing a significant, multi-year transformation, offering the opportunity to shape a modern SAP landscape from the ground up. The environment encourages forward-thinking architecture, supports long-term regulatory commitments, and values collaboration between technology and business teams. You will have the chance to work with the latest SAP cloud technologies, contribute to a high-impact change programme, and develop your expertise in a setting that supports professional growth and continuous improvement.

Work Environment

You will work within a large, regulated enterprise environment that is evolving from an on-premises SAP S/4HANA platform to SAP's cloud-based RISE offering. The technology landscape includes SAP CPI for integrations, SAP CALM for life cycle management, and modern data platforms such as SAP BTP and Datasphere. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance and Asset/Plant Maintenance, in a structured programme setting aligned to a multi-year regulatory change framework. Working practices emphasise governance, architectural consistency, and close cooperation between IT and business stakeholders.
