Technical Manager

As a Technical Manager, you will lead the global end-to-end solution validation strategy for Nokia Broadband products and solutions. You will be responsible for ensuring customer-ready quality across ONT, Wi-Fi, Mesh, and cloud-based platforms through comprehensive solution testing and quality engineering excellence. The role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive release readiness, automation maturity, and continuous quality improvements. You will play a key role in strengthening testing practices, enhancing customer experience, and supporting business growth through high-quality product deliveries.

• Lead the global Solution Test team responsible for end-to-end validation of broadband solutions across ONT, Wi-Fi, Mesh, and cloud platforms.
• Define, plan, and execute solution test strategies that accurately represent real-world customer deployment environments, interoperability requirements, and network scenarios.
• Act as the final quality gate for integrated solutions, ensuring products meet performance, reliability, scalability, and customer readiness standards prior to release.
• Partner closely with Development, Systems Engineering, Product Management, and Customer Support teams to drive rapid issue resolution and continuous quality improvement.
• Drive Test Excellence initiatives by enhancing testing methodologies, quality engineering practices, and solution validation processes across global teams.
• Lead the automation strategy and roadmap, identifying opportunities to improve test coverage, efficiency, and automation maturity through scalable frameworks and tools.
• Establish and monitor quality metrics, engineering standards, and testing best practices to improve consistency, productivity, and release quality.
• Mentor and guide engineering teams on modern testing techniques, automation approaches, and quality-first engineering principles.

          Must Have:

• Bachelors or Masters in Engineering with 15 plus years of experience in solution testing, system integration testing, performance validation, and quality lifecycle management within telecommunications or broadband domains.
• Expertise in broadband technologies including GPON/XGS-PON, ONT, Wi-Fi, Mesh, OMCI, broadband access networks, and Layer 2/Layer 3 networking.
• Experience validating cloud-native applications, SaaS platforms, and cloud-managed broadband solutions.
• Proven leadership experience managing global test teams and driving end-to-end solution validation for complex customer deployments.
• Proficient in stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive alignment across geographically distributed organizations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a track record of identifying quality risks and implementing innovative solutions that enhance customer experience.

• Demonstrated success in defining automation roadmaps, implementing scalable test frameworks, and increasing automation adoption across engineering organizations.

• Knowledge of modern Quality Engineering practices, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps methodologies, and test automation ecosystems.
