\nThe Boeing Company is looking for an F-15 Real-time Principal Software Engineer - Mission Systems to join our Mission Systems Software Team located in Berkeley, MO.
\n\nThe Mission Systems Software Team develops real-time embedded Operational Flight Program (OFP) software that resides in the heart of the F-15 Weapon System, the Mission Computer. The software written by this team enables the F-15 aircraft’s mission capability by interfacing with multiple avionics subsystems (radar, weapons, sensors, etc.) and by implementing algorithms and developing the crew vehicle interface displays. The team is responsible for the design, code implementation, and the various levels of testing of the OFP software as well as supporting the development of the system and subsystem requirements. The team develops products for both United States Air Force (USAF) and international customers.
\n\nThe Software Engineer will be responsible for leading a team of engineers to develop and maintain solutions within the F-15 Mission Computer for all current and future customers and hardware configurations. This leadership role will include managing and guiding day-to-day work of junior engineers to deliver software solutions supporting the OFPs that go to the warfighting customer. The F-15 Mission Computing architecture is being updated for both USAF and FMS customers driving additional needs.
\n\nThis position requires a senior engineer who has experience in real-time software development, in-depth knowledge of avionics software, and works well, guiding and collaborating, with others.
\n\nThis position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Berkeley, MO.
\n\nPosition Responsibilities:

Develops technical designs and implements Operational Flight Program (OFP) code solutions.
\n - \n
Provides technical oversight and guidance of technical approaches and development of the F-15 Mission Computing OFP code.
\n - \n
Works collaboratively with the F-15 Software Architects to develop preferred approaches to future Mission Computing architectures.
\n - \n
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, and peers.
\n
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
\n- \n

Bachelor's degree
\n - \n
10+ years of professional experience with C, C++, C#, Python, Java, or Ada
\n - \n
10+ years of experience with the Software Development Lifecycle (including Requirements Analysis, Design, Code, Integration & Test)
\n - \n
5+ years of experience in software development and testing tools (e.g., editors, compilers, linkers, desktop simulations, configuration management tools, requirements management tools) capability and usage
\n - \n
Experience with software lifecycle practices, agile methodology, and repositories, such as JIRA and Git
\n
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science and 14+ years of related work experience OR Bachelor’s Degree and 18+ years of directly related work experience OR 22+ years of related, relevant experience

Experience developing or testing real-time integrated avionics hardware/software systems for high performance aircraft, spacecraft, or other similar platforms
\n - \n
Experience with embedded software architecture/development/design
\n - \n
Experience developing on the Linux platform and Windows
\n - \n
Experience with Open Architecture standards, such as Open Mission Systems (OMS)
\n
Travel: less than 10%.
