The Role

• Operate heavy equipment, including hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders, to move shipping containers.
• Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks within the intermodal yard.
• Perform pre and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality.
• Coordinate container movements and task execution with yard personnel and supervisors.
• Maintain a safe and efficient work environment by adhering to established protocols.
• Work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by operational needs.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver's license is mandatory for this position.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs and climbing ladders/stairs.
• Commitment to safety and a keen attention to detail.
• Experience in operating heavy equipment in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred.
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Basic communication and teamwork skills.
