The Role

  • Analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate plant-specific nuclear licensed Operations training programs.
  • Coordinate and conduct performance-based Operations Reactor Operator (RO)/Non-Licensed Operator (NLO) training.
  • Ensure training programs are current, incorporating industry insights and regulatory updates.
  • Prepare and conduct trainee examinations and evaluations across various learning environments.
  • Support site and fleet initiatives, projects, outage support, and emergency preparedness.
  • Maintain mastery of plant operations and training techniques to ensure high-quality instruction.

What You'll Need

  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience (e.g., test reactor, commercial, industrial, or military power plant operator experience).
  • OR an Associate's degree with a technical or training focus and 4 years of nuclear technical background or 6 years of related experience.
  • OR current/previous licensed Reactor Operator or SRO certification with 4 years of related experience.
  • OR a Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related science/education field with 3 years of nuclear technical background or 4 years of related experience.
  • Must achieve Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) certification within 18 months of assuming the position.
  • Strong understanding and experience with the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) is preferred.
