Job Description

QA/QC Engineer Location: Birmingham<br />Contract: 3 Months<br />Rate: £140 - £160 per day<br />Status: Outside IR35 We are currently recruiting for an experienced QA/QC Engineer to join a busy engineering and construction project in Birmingham on an initial 3-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a quality professional with a strong background in construction, civil engineering or complex engineering projects to play a key role in ensuring quality standards are maintained throughout project delivery. The Role You'll be responsible for managing all QA/QC activities across the project, ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards and quality management systems. Working closely with engineering teams, contractors and suppliers, you'll drive quality assurance from material inspection through to final documentation. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all QA/QC activities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare and maintain QA/QC documentation, inspection records, certificates and test reports.
  • Review and approve inspection requests and quality documentation.
  • Ensure all materials and workmanship comply with project specifications and quality standards.
  • Coordinate inspections with site teams, consultants and contractors.
  • Monitor testing schedules and quality control processes.
  • Carry out quality audits and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Investigate non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
  • Produce inspection and test plans (ITPs), method statements and quality checklists.
  • Support risk assessments and ensure quality procedures are followed.
  • Maintain calibration records and quality documentation.
  • Work closely with procurement to ensure materials meet required specifications.
  • Promote compliance with ISO standards and company quality procedures.
  • Support site teams with quality best practice and technical guidance.
  • Ensure accurate project records are maintained throughout delivery. Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a QA/QC Engineer or Quality Engineer position.
  • Previous experience within construction, civil engineering or major engineering projects.
  • Understanding of QA/QC documentation, inspections and testing procedures.
  • Experience carrying out quality audits and inspections.
  • Knowledge of ISO quality management systems.
  • Ability to produce inspection test plans, method statements and quality documentation.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise with clients, contractors and site teams.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • ISO Quality qualification or training would be advantageous.
  • Experience within themed entertainment projects would be beneficial but is not essential. What's on Offer
