Kforce has a client in Phoenix, AZ seeking a Director, Infrastructure & Platform Operations.

Job Description

The Director, Infrastructure & Platform Operations will lead the strategy, reliability, security, and lifecycle management of enterprise infrastructure across cloud and on-premises environments. This role is responsible for ensuring the availability, scalability, and operational excellence of critical technology platforms including cloud infrastructure, data centers, networking, virtualization, storage, end-user computing, service desk operations, backup and recovery, and platform automation.

This leader will develop technology roadmaps, drive infrastructure modernization initiatives, establish operational standards, and oversee service reliability, incident management, disaster recovery, and business continuity programs. The role also partners closely with cybersecurity, engineering, and business leaders to align infrastructure investments with organizational priorities while managing budgets, vendor relationships, technology lifecycles, and high-performing technical teams.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred
• Relevant cloud, infrastructure, cybersecurity, or IT service management certifications preferred
• Extensive leadership experience in infrastructure, cloud, and platform operations
• Experience leading managers and cross-functional technical teams supporting business-critical environments
• Expertise in service ownership, operational metrics, incident and problem management, capacity planning, and infrastructure lifecycle management
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, networking, compute, storage, virtualization, backup and recovery, observability, automation, and IT service management
• Experience managing data center operations, patching, vulnerability management, technology refresh initiatives, and disaster recovery programs
• Experience managing vendor relationships, contracts, budgets, forecasts, and technology investments
• Ability to develop strategic roadmaps, business cases, and executive-level communications
• Proven success leading organizational change, modernization efforts, and operational excellence initiatives
• Experience with Azure or similar cloud environments, enterprise networking, automation tools, and monitoring platforms is preferred
• Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
