Plant Vehicle Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Plant Vehicle Engineer for a Contract with a client in Wayne, MI. The ideal candidatewilldrive corrective actions for customer quality issues, warranty concerns, and plant quality improvements while supporting vehicle launches and production operations.
Rate Range: $34/Hour to $36/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Plant Vehicle Engineer Responsibilities include:

• Investigate and resolve vehicle quality issues related to electrical hardware, transmission controls, and interior switch systems.
• Lead root cause analysis and drive interim and permanent corrective actions using Six Sigma, 8D, and 5 Why methodologies.
• Analyze warranty claims, customer concerns, and quality data to identify trends and implement improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with plant teams, suppliers, and cross-functional engineering groups to support quality containment and issue resolution.
• Support vehicle launches, plant trials, and continuous improvement projects focused on quality, cost, and manufacturing performance.
• Participate in quality review meetings and utilize engineering tools to troubleshoot, track, and resolve customer-critical concerns.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in automotive quality, product development, manufacturing, or vehicle engineering.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification with proven experience leading root cause analysis using 8D and 5 Why methodologies.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and engineering drawings.

Pay Details: $34.00 to $36.00 per hour
