Compensation and Flexible Working

Salary: AUD 129,311 - 142,018 Annual Gross (indicative; may be subject to enhancements).

Roles and Responsibilities

• Considerable years of experience in the development and deployment of application systems that underpin business change programs, with a minimum of 8+ years in .NET development.
• .NET Framework and .NET Core with strong C# experience.
• Backend integration using APIs and WCF Services.
• Unit test frameworks and principles: MSTest, MOQ and TDD.
• Experience with Azure platform (functions, Cosmos DB, Event Hub, Redis Cache, Application Insights, Service Bus queue, Azure Cognitive Services, Azure SQL).
• MS Azure certified Developer/DevOps (highly regarded, not mandatory).
• Experience with VSTS Build and GitHub repository.
• Development, delivery and support of application systems in a complex integrated infrastructure environment.
• Excellent solution development and service delivery skills.
• Strong object oriented analysis and design skills.
• Experience in development applications for the health insurance industry (highly desirable).
• Extensive experience in multi tier architectures (mandatory).
• Well developed consultation, collaboration, and communication skills.
• Great analytical and problem solving skills.
• Collaborate with other IT functions to respond to business unit requirements for existing .NET related application systems.
• Lead solution (functional and technical) design activities and deliver design documents.
• Lead project and/or support activities, allocate tasks, mentor and guide team members for on time, on budget delivery.
• Ability to work autonomously or lead a team of 2-3 developers, collaborating with stakeholders.
• Develop strategies for efficient knowledge transfer to onshore and offshore teams.
• Conduct feasibility studies of changes to applications for proposed business projects/enhancements, providing high level sizing.
• Focus on system analysis, solution and technical design with high quality documentation and realistic work estimates.
• Work with external development teams and vendors to achieve common development and integration goals and maintain quality.
• Write detailed technical specifications and ensure compliance with architectural principles.
• Ensure coding activities in the .NET team adhere to the technical specification, using judgment and communication to adjust when appropriate.

Qualifications & Experience

• 8+ years of experience in .NET development.
• Proficiency in .NET Framework, .NET Core and C#.
• Experience with APIs, WCF Services and unit testing using MSTest, MOQ, TDD.
• Experience with Azure services.
• Experience with VSTS Build and GitHub.

Essential Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in IT, Computer Science or related discipline.
