SEN / SEND Tutor | Elland, United Kingdom | Hybrid | £28 - £35 per hour

We are seeking dedicated SEN/SEND Tutors to join an impactful organisation that is transforming the lives of young people with special educational needs. This is an opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven community focused on providing exceptional educational support.

The Role

• Provide in-person, remote, and hybrid tuition in Maths, English, or Science to young people with SEND and SEMH needs.
• Support pupils from KS1 - KS5 referred by local authorities and schools.
• Plan and deliver flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring sessions.
• Report for lessons and provide regular feedback on student progress.
• Work with learners diagnosed with MLD, SLD, PMLD, and other additional educational needs.
• Uphold the organisation's mission to raise the standard of education for vulnerable young people.

What You'll Need

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS).
• A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, ideally with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD.
• Familiarity teaching English, Maths, and/or Science.
• An enhanced DBS check (assistance provided if needed) and 2+ professional references.
• Knowledge of safeguarding practices and creating a safe learning environment.
• Right to work in the UK.
