Software Engineer | Fort Meade, MD, United States | Hybrid

The Role

  • Leverage IT automation to manage data repositories on air-gapped networks.
  • Perform Bash shell scripting and create/manage virtual environments.
  • Configure and maintain storage and file systems.
  • Develop and deliver technical presentations and program documentation to senior management.
  • Introduce and integrate new technologies into existing production environments.
  • Document and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and perform daily system audits.

What You'll Need

  • 14+ years of software engineering experience with a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
  • Intermediate experience with containerized applications (Ranger/Docker/Kubernetes).
  • Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, and Bash shell scripting.
  • Familiarity with Linux administration, system file hierarchy, and root commands.
  • Experience troubleshooting and deploying tools like Red Hat and Ansible.
  • Hands-on experience with NIFI for log event forwarding.
