Job Title: IBM Guardium Consultant With SQL & Python

Location: Remote + 40% Travel

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in Data Security, Database Security, or Cybersecurity.
• Strong hands-on experience with IBM Guardium administration and implementation.
• Expertise in:
• Database Activity Monitoring (DAM)
• Vulnerability Assessment (VA)
• Data Discovery & Classification
• Policy Management
• Compliance Monitoring
• Audit Reporting
• Security Policy Configuration
• Advanced SQL skills for querying, troubleshooting, and reporting.
• Strong Python programming skills for scripting, automation, and reporting.
• Experience securing enterprise databases including Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB.
• Knowledge of database security concepts, encryption, masking, and access control.
• Experience integrating IBM Guardium with SIEM and monitoring platforms.
• Strong understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM), Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and least-privilege principles.
• Familiarity with Linux and Windows environments.
• Experience using Git and version control systems.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Educational Qualifications:

• Required - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or closely related or equivalent.
• Preferred - Master’s degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, Big Data or Analytics or equivalent.

Travel:

·   Open to travel based up on the nature of the engagement.
