What You'll Do
- Perform testing, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on transformers, circuit breakers, cables, switchgear, and other substation equipment.
- Conduct electrical diagnostic testing including power factor, insulation resistance, transformer turns ratio (TTR), winding resistance, partial discharge, breaker timing, contact resistance, SF6 analysis, and related testing.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to identify and resolve equipment issues.
- Support field projects involving power delivery systems, electrical reliability, and preventative maintenance programs.
- Maintain accurate documentation while following industry safety standards and procedures.
What We're Looking For
- NETA Level II, III, or IV Certification strongly preferred.
- Experience in substation testing, electrical commissioning, field service, power distribution, or electrical maintenance.
- Military electrical experience is highly valued, especially Navy Nuclear, Nuclear Maintenance, Army Prime Power (12P), power generation, or electrical distribution backgrounds.
- Working knowledge of NETA, NFPA 70E, OSHA, and electrical safety standards.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and technical documentation skills.
