Senior Business Analyst :: Hybrid :: W2 Position

Role: Business Analyst (E2E Business Systems Analyst)

Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite per Week)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst (E2E Business Systems Analyst) to join our team in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in business process analysis, requirements gathering, stakeholder management, and end-to-end SDLC execution. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to analyze business needs, recommend process improvements, and deliver high-quality business solutions that align with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze existing cross-functional business processes and recommend improvements based on industry best practices and business objectives.
• Conduct AS-IS and TO-BE process analysis to identify business gaps and define future-state solutions.
• Lead requirements elicitation sessions with business stakeholders and document business, functional, non-functional, and system requirements.
• Create and maintain high-quality project documentation, including:
• Business Requirements Documents (BRD)
• Functional Requirements Documents (FRD)
• System Requirements Specifications
• Data Mapping Documents
• Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM)
• GAP Analysis Documentation
• Develop UML diagrams, process flows, workflow diagrams, and business process models.
• Document customer and user journey maps to identify pain points and opportunities for process optimization.
• Create standardized documentation templates based on project requirements.
• Facilitate requirement review sessions, obtain stakeholder approvals, and manage requirement sign-offs.
• Communicate business requirements effectively with leadership, development teams, QA teams, and other project stakeholders.
• Identify project risks, communicate mitigation strategies, and proactively manage issues throughout the project lifecycle.
• Work directly with business users and clients to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
• Write and execute intermediate SQL queries for data validation, testing, reporting, and analysis.
• Utilize JIRA to manage requirements, user stories, defects, and project progress throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Collaborate closely with development, QA, and business teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Support continuous process improvement initiatives and organizational transformation efforts.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong experience as a Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst.
• Proven expertise in requirements gathering, business process analysis, and SDLC methodologies.
• Experience performing AS-IS/TO-BE analysis, GAP Analysis, and business process improvement.
• Strong documentation skills, including BRDs, FRDs, RTMs, functional specifications, and data mapping.
• Experience creating UML diagrams, workflow diagrams, and process models.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and facilitation skills.
• Hands-on experience with JIRA and Agile project methodologies.
• Proficiency in SQL for data validation, reporting, and analysis.
• Knowledge of SAP applications is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with AI technologies and practical business use cases.
• Willingness to leverage AI tools to improve productivity, efficiency, and business outcomes.
