Job Description  

Scope: The Entire LinuxOne estate, 4x physical locations, 8x Emperor 5.

• Entire LinuxONE estate

• You would be responsible for all LinuxONE infrastructure across the organization, not just one server or one application.

• 4x physical locations

• Client has four separate data centers where LinuxONE systems are installed.

• 8x Emperor 5

• Client has eight IBM LinuxONE Emperor 5 systems.

Required Skills:

• 8+ years’ experience deploying and/or administering Linux on IBM zSystems or LinuxONE
• 5+ years’ experience working with Redhat, Canonical Ubuntu, or SUSE Linux distributions
• 5+ years’ experience working with Redhat OpenShift
• 5+ years’ experience in client facing communications, requirements analysis, documentation, creating presentations, presenting to client staff, and speaking at an executive level
• 5+ years’ experience working with clients that demonstrate Strong problem determination and debugging skills
• 5+ years’ experience administering Linux system including installation, maintenance, storage, and networking aspects including Fiber Channel
• 5+ years’ experience working with the IBM Hardware Management Console (HMC)

Preferred Skills:

• Expert consultative knowledge on a wide array of Linux on zSystems/LinuxONE based technologies
• Candidate will be required to help architect and implement Linux migration solutions
• Leading technical teams
• Ability to interact with and present to client’s Executive management
• Execute role with strong negotiating skills and demonstrated Problem solving
• Execute role with strong Project Management Skills
• Ability to interact with and feedback to IBM development organizations
• Size and scope services engagements
