The Role

As a Vice President, you will play a leading role in originating and executing complex advisory and capital raising transactions across the Insurance sector. Working closely with Managing Directors and senior industry stakeholders, you will be responsible for managing client relationships, leading transaction teams, overseeing junior bankers, and driving the successful delivery of M&A, Private Capital Advisory (PCA), and strategic advisory mandates.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the execution of M&A, PCA, and strategic advisory transactions from origination through to completion
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with senior executives, shareholders, private equity investors, and other key market participants
  • Managing transaction processes and coordinating clients, investors, legal advisers, and other stakeholders
  • Overseeing financial modelling, valuation analysis, due diligence, and marketing materials
  • Preparing and presenting strategic advice, board materials, and client presentations
  • Supporting business development initiatives and contributing to new mandate generation
  • Mentoring Associates and Analysts, whilst helping to build a high-performance team culture
  • Maintaining deep knowledge of the insurance market, capital structures, and broader FIG landscape

Candidate Profile

  • 6-10+ years of Investment Banking experience gained within M&A, Strategic Advisory, or Private Capital Advisory teams
  • Strong Insurance sector expertise, either within a specialist Insurance advisory platform or a FIG team with significant insurance exposure
  • Demonstrable transaction experience across M&A, PCA, capital raising, or strategic advisory mandates
  • Proven ability to manage client relationships and lead transaction execution with increasing autonomy
  • Strong understanding of insurance business models, capital structures, regulatory considerations, and market dynamics
  • Excellent financial modelling, valuation, and analytical capabilities
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience managing and developing junior team members
  • Strong academic background from a leading university

Opportunity

This is an opportunity to join a leading advisory platform with a strong franchise in the Insurance sector. You will gain exposure to high-profile M&A, private capital, and strategic advisory transactions while working alongside some of the market's most experienced insurance advisers and playing a key role in the continued growth of the business.
