Job description

Create your best future and join Westpac as a Manager, Business Deposit Pricing

What’s the role?

You’ll manage the day-to-day pricing of Westpac’s business deposit products, helping the bank respond to changing market conditions while supporting positive customer and commercial outcomes. You’ll set term deposit rates, coordinate pricing changes and review discretionary pricing requests, balancing customer retention and growth opportunities with portfolio considerations.

Using data and commercial insights, you’ll monitor deposit balances, customer flows, margins and competitor activity to identify emerging trends, risks and opportunities. You’ll partner with Treasury, Finance, Product, Risk and Distribution teams to deliver pricing campaigns, customer offers and broader deposit initiatives. You’ll also support strong pricing controls and contribute to improvements across pricing tools, processes and products.

This is a full-time, permanent opportunity based in Sydney, with a hybrid working model that includes three days on-site each week.

What do I need?

You’ll bring sound commercial judgement, strong analytical capability and the confidence to turn complex information into clear pricing decisions.

  • Experience in pricing, product management, treasury, finance, strategy or a related commercial area within financial services.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to understand portfolio performance, revenue, margins or profit and loss outcomes.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret data, identify trends and provide practical insights.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across a range of business areas.
  • An understanding of deposit products, funding, balance sheet management, pricing frameworks or financial markets. Experience supporting strategic initiatives, product development or technology-enabled change would also be valuable.

Why join us?

We’re obsessed with becoming our customers' #1 banking partner for life and we’re looking for people who are passionate about helping us achieve that goal. In return, we’re committed to making Westpac the best place to work in the country. Here are just a few of the ways we’re already doing that:

  • Special offers on banking products and discounts from top brands, including generous employee-only mortgage rates!
  • Flexible work arrangements to help you achieve a greater work/life balance, and a variety of leave options including Culture, Lifestyle and Wellbeing leave.
  • Tailored learning and development opportunities to help you grow your career within the bank.
  • Lots of opportunities to ‘give back’ to the Community by getting involved in our many volunteering initiatives.
