Through our Finance Industrial Placement, you'll gain hands-on experience, learn from experienced professionals and develop valuable skills, all while contributing to projects that support a more electrified, low-carbon future.
The Opportunity
This Finance Industrial Placement at EDF EPR Engineering UK, expected to begin in early September 2027, offers a starting salary of £26,050 and the opportunity to support financial operations on one of the UK's most significant energy infrastructure programmes.
During this 12-month placement, you'll gain practical experience across a range of finance activities while supporting teams delivering Hinkley Point C. You'll develop commercial awareness, analytical skills and industry knowledge while contributing to a business supporting the journey towards An Electric Britain.
What You'll Experience
EDF EPR Engineering delivers the design for nuclear island buildings, systems, and equipment for Hinkley Point C and similar projects. Working as part of an integrated team, EPR Engineering supports construction and commissioning while preparing design-replication feasibility and related engineering activities.
During your Finance Industrial Placement, you'll gain first-hand experience of financial operations within a major infrastructure programme. Working alongside experienced finance professionals, you'll develop your understanding of budgeting, forecasting, reporting and financial controls while supporting business decision-making.
This placement offers the opportunity to apply the knowledge gained through your studies to real business challenges, build professional confidence and develop transferable skills that will support your future career in finance.
Your Work Location
You'll be based at Aztec West 1000 in #Bristol, supporting financial operations for Hinkley Point C. You'll work closely with colleagues across the programme and gain exposure to one of the UK's largest low-carbon energy projects.

To be eligible for this EDF Industrial Placement, you'll be studying towards a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline, and be looking to complete a placement year as part of your degree programme. You'll have an interest in finance, commercial performance and supporting business success.
To be appointed to this role, you will need to meet the criteria for Security Vetting, which will, ordinarily, require you to have been a resident of the UK for at least three of the past five years.
Pay, Benefits and Culture
Alongside a starting salary of £26,050 per annum and a market-leading pension scheme, your package will include customisable benefits such as electric vehicle leasing, discounted gym membership, life assurance, tech vouchers, experience days, and more.
