The Role

• Support the Design Team in delivering highways structures maintenance and new-build schemes within agreed time and budget constraints.
• Produce technical designs, drawings, and documentation for bridge and highway structures projects using current software.
• Assist the Lead Engineer in managing scheme delivery from feasibility through to construction inspection.
• Conduct site visits, structure inspections, and gather essential project data.
• Contribute to technical excellence, innovation, and value engineering solutions.
• Mentor and support the development of technicians and graduates within the team.

What You'll Need

• A degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering.
• Approaching or holding Chartered/Incorporated Member status with a relevant professional institution (MICE/MIStructE or equivalent).
• Proven experience in the inspection, assessment, design, and construction of highway structures to UK standards.
• Proficiency with relevant design software and experience using Eurocodes for highway structures.
• A valid driving licence and willingness to undertake occasional site visits.
• Strong collaborative skills and the ability to build relationships and share knowledge.
