Senior Cloud Automation Engineer

GovCIO LLC seeks a Senior Cloud Automation Engineer to modernize federal IT systems through secure, automated cloud solutions. You will design and implement Infrastructure as Code, build and optimize CI/CD pipelines, and drive containerized, highly available architectures in AWS or Azure. Partnering with developers, security, and government stakeholders, you'll enforce cloud security best practices, improve reliability through monitoring and automation, and mentor junior engineers. Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable cloud infrastructures using Infrastructure as Code.
• Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment workflows.
• Implement containerization and orchestration solutions for microservices-based architectures.
• Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to deliver modernized federal IT systems.
• Ensure cloud environments meet security, compliance, and reliability standards for government customers.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting to improve observability and incident response.
• Automate routine operational tasks to increase efficiency and reduce manual errors.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers on cloud automation best practices and tools.
