This employer is seeking a skilled Technical Writer to support a key government contract focused on aviation systems. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a mission-critical program by ensuring clear, accurate, and accessible technical documentation.

The Role

• Review, revise, and standardize technical documents, manuals, and instructions to meet style guidelines and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to gather information and produce original written drafts for review and finalization.
• Edit and maintain a comprehensive listing of technical documents, including key data and revision schedules.
• Write original content such as articles and talking points, drawing information from diverse sources.
• Apply advanced writing and editing concepts to ensure grammatical correctness, clarity, and flow.
• Prepare, edit, and revise reports, correspondence, briefings, and other documentation as needed.

What You'll Need

• Bachelor's or higher degree.
• A minimum of 10 years of relevant technical writing experience.
• Proven ability to develop a structured filing system for records management.
• Experience developing standard operating procedures.
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust Security Investigation (US Citizenship required).
• Experience with Federally-mandated "plain language" writing is a plus.
