Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Solutions Architect to lead the design, architecture, engineering, and implementation of enterprise cloud solutions supporting IT modernization and transformation initiatives.
The Cloud Solutions Architect will be responsible for developing scalable, secure, reliable, and high-performing cloud architecture across AWS, Microsoft Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform). The role will focus on cloud infrastructure, hybrid cloud transformation, data center modernization, application modernization, DevOps, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), containerization, Kubernetes, automation, security, and enterprise integrations.
The successful candidate will provide senior-level technical leadership across complex initiatives, translate business and technical requirements into effective cloud solutions, evaluate architectural options, and guide teams through solution implementation. The position requires strong experience with cloud technologies, network architecture, security, automation, monitoring, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
The architect will collaborate with enterprise architects, infrastructure and operations teams, application development teams, project managers, business stakeholders, and other technology teams. The individual must be comfortable working independently with minimal direction, leading cross-functional initiatives, managing multiple priorities, and exercising sound technical judgment.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Lead cloud architecture and IT modernization initiatives across enterprise environments.
• Develop cloud architecture blueprints, network topologies, technical specifications, and solution designs aligned with business and technology requirements.
• Design, engineer, and implement solutions across public, private, and hybrid cloud environments.
• Lead cloud migration initiatives, including the transition of workloads from on-premises data centers to cloud platforms.
• Assess existing systems, infrastructure, processes, and technologies to identify opportunities for modernization and improvement.
• Evaluate cloud services and architectural options and provide recommendations based on scalability, security, performance, reliability, and business requirements.
• Lead strategic technology initiatives and cross-functional project teams from planning through implementation.
• Design and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automated deployment solutions.
• Develop and maintain integration and CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployments and improve operational consistency.
• Design, deploy, configure, scale, and maintain containerized applications and Kubernetes environments.
• Support Kubernetes clusters, serverless infrastructure, APIs, integrations, and cloud infrastructure services.
• Design and administer scalable cloud-based systems and enterprise integrations.
• Establish and enforce cloud security controls, identity and access management, data governance, and compliance requirements.
• Ensure cloud solutions align with applicable security and regulatory requirements, including HIPAA where applicable.
• Monitor cloud infrastructure and applications for performance, availability, security, and operational efficiency.
• Utilize cloud monitoring, logging, auditing, and security tools to identify and resolve issues.
• Participate in solution implementation activities including planning, testing, troubleshooting, installation, configuration, deployment, and production support.
• Analyze current-state and future-state architectures, identify gaps, and develop strategies to address those gaps.
• Develop and maintain technical standards, procedures, architectural documentation, diagrams, and best practices.
• Provide technical leadership and direction to team members and project teams.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and support iterative delivery practices.
• Develop or revise technical documentation, procedures, and standards as required.
• Support the development of training materials and provide training to technical and business users when needed.
• Manage multiple assignments, projects, deadlines, and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of experience with computer systems, IT infrastructure, information technology equipment, applicable programming languages, computer hardware and software, and operating systems.
• 7+ years of experience with modern cloud technologies and analytical services available from major cloud service providers.
• 7+ years of experience with cloud delivery models, including PaaS, SaaS, and IaaS.
• 7+ years of experience with Agile/Scrum methodology and Scrum ceremonies.
• 7+ years of experience with cloud-based services and technologies across AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• 7+ years of experience with cloud-based network design principles and architecture.
• 7+ years of experience with data governance, security, and compliance in cloud environments.
• 7+ years of experience with technical writing and diagramming, including proficiency with Microsoft Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project.
• 7+ years of experience as a technology architect supporting software development, data analytics, performance management, or data warehousing projects.
• 7+ years of experience analyzing technology system capabilities, limitations, defects, and business problems to develop evidence-based conclusions and innovative solutions.
• 7+ years of experience with cloud DevOps principles and CI/CD, including containerization, microservices deployment/configuration, and Kubernetes architecture, deployment, scaling, and maintenance.
• 7+ years of experience supporting application Kubernetes clusters and serverless infrastructure, including APIs related to cloud infrastructure services and integrations.
• 7+ years of experience with cloud automation using Ansible, Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates.
• 7+ years of experience with cloud and performance monitoring, auditing, logging, and operations tools such as Sysdig Secure (CNAPP), Dynatrace, AWS CloudWatch, Google Cloud Platform Cloud Operations, Azure Monitor, OCI Monitoring, and other cloud-native toolsets.
• 7+ years of experience with automation and command-line scripting using Bash, KornShell, PowerShell, Cloud CLI, Kubernetes Helm, and third-party tools.
• 7+ years of experience with declarative and imperative languages such as YAML, JSON, Ruby, and HCL, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools including Ansible, Docker, and Terraform.
• 7+ years of experience managing multiple overlapping deadlines and handling multiple cross-functional or enterprise projects in a high-pressure environment.
• 7+ years of experience coordinating multiple assignments/projects, setting priorities, and meeting deadlines.
• 7+ years of experience leading teams and providing technical direction to team members.
• 7+ years of experience creating, establishing, and implementing technical best practices and procedures.
