Title: Paralegal

Location: Dayton, OH 45424 | Onsite 4 days per week

Employment Type: 12+ Month W2 Contract | No C2C or sponsorship available

Job Description

Talent Groups is seeking an experienced Paralegal to support a corporate legal department and cross functional business teams. This role will provide legal and administrative support across commercial contracts, corporate governance, intellectual property, legal operations, and document management.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and sound judgment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support attorneys with drafting, reviewing, editing, and organizing contracts and legal documents.

• Manage commercial contract activities, including tracking signatures, execution documents, records, and document management.

• Collaborate with commercial and business teams regarding contract terms and status.

• Identify opportunities to improve legal processes, workflows, templates, and contract playbooks.

• Support legal billing, invoicing, budget tracking, and legal technology initiatives.

• Coordinate meetings, legal projects, and administrative activities.

• Manage intake for new legal requests and coordinate multiple matters simultaneously.

• Review patent correspondence, maintain IP docketing records, and monitor critical deadlines.

• Maintain accurate legal records and handle sensitive and confidential information.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a legal, corporate legal, or law firm environment.

• Experience supporting attorneys and cross functional business stakeholders.

• Experience with contracts, legal agreements, corporate records, or related documentation.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.

• Strong proofreading, grammar, and document editing skills.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Google Workspace, Adobe Acrobat, and document management systems.

• Strong problem solving and analytical skills with sound judgment.

• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

• Basic knowledge of contracting principles and legal requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, paralegal certificate, or paralegal degree from an ABA approved program.

• Corporate legal department or law firm experience.

• Experience with transactional legal work and corporate governance.

• Experience with commercial contracts and contract lifecycle management.

• Experience with intellectual property, patent correspondence, or legal docketing.
