The main purpose of the Field Supervisor for Contract Installs within Paradise Door and Service is to serve the client by leading our installation crews on site and making sure every door, frame, hardware set, and entrance system is installed safely, correctly, under budget, and on schedule. The Field Supervisor will be hands-on in the field, running day-to-day work on multiple contract projects at a time and serving as the link between our crews, the Construction Manager, PMs, Regional Manager, and the general contractor. The more specific responsibilities are listed below but include crew leadership, installation quality, safety, and field documentation. Paradise Door and Service is a subcontractor in the construction industry. We help customers achieve their vision to execute high-end architectural entrances within agreed upon budget and schedule. End-users of past and current projects include but are not limited to: Google, LinkedIn, Facebook, Netflix, and Nvidia.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead and direct installation crews on contract projects, assigning daily tasks and setting production goals

• Install, and oversee installation of, hollow metal and wood doors, frames, door hardware, and specialty entrance systems

• Review plans, door and hardware schedules, and approved submittals before and during installation

• Verify site readiness, openings, and field dimensions before crews mobilize

• Coordinate daily with general contractor superintendents and other trades on site

• Confirm materials and equipment are delivered, staged, and accounted for with the warehouse

• Enforce company and site safety programs, including daily job hazard analyses and toolbox talks

• Inspect completed work for quality and code compliance, and correct deficiencies

• Complete punch list items and support final walkthroughs and turnover

• Submit daily reports, crew time, progress photos, and field documentation

• Report field conditions, delays, damage, and potential changes in scope to the Construction Manager

• Train and mentor installers on proper techniques, tools, and safety

• Actively re-prioritize crew work to keep projects on schedule

Qualifications & Skills:

• 5+ years of commercial door, frame, and hardware installation experience, including 1+ years leading a crew

• Experience with storefronts, automatic doors, or specialty entrance systems preferred

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and door hardware schedules

• Working knowledge of ADA, fire-rated opening, and building code requirements

• OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30 preferred

• Proficiency with hand and power tools used in door and hardware installation

• Basic computer skills for daily reports, timecards, and photos, including Microsoft Office 365 products

• Valid driver's license and ability to travel between job sites

• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, climb ladders, and work on your feet for extended periods

• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
