A welcoming family in Westborough, MA is seeking a patient, engaging, and structured math tutor for their 6th-grade child (11 years old). The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in middle school mathematics and a proven track record of breaking down complex concepts into encouraging, digestible lessons.

Schedule:

• 1 to 2 days per week
• Weekday options (in order of preference): Mondays, Thursdays, or Wednesdays (3:00 PM – 4:00 PM)
• Saturday options available between 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
• Estimated 1 to 2 hours per week

• Smoke-free home environment
• Looking for a dependable educator who values positive reinforcement, clear communication, and structured learning

Responsibilities:

• Provide targeted 1-on-1 math instruction tailored to 6th-grade curriculum and learning style
• Assist with homework, core concept reinforcement, and test preparation
• Identify areas of strength and growth to build math confidence
• Communicate progress and lesson focus areas regularly with parents

Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience tutoring middle school mathematics or relevant academic teaching background
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills suited for working with 6th graders
• Reliable transportation to the family's location in Westborough, MA

Preferred:

• Formal teaching certification or background in math education
• Experience working with agency-directed care or formal tutoring organizations

Compensation:

• $37–$39 per hour
