PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking a Systems Engineer 6, in El Segundo, CA. Job ID#218394

Pay Rate: $121 - $126/hr Job Description: The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and integration of advanced systems for various airborne and space missions. This role requires a deep understanding of SIGINT sensor technologies, data processing, system operation, mission requirements and SIGINT system architecture.

Position Responsibilities: Lead the design and development of SIGINT systems, ensuring compliance with mission requirements and specifications Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sensor and data processing systems Conduct performance analysis and testing of system, including environmental testing and data validation Develop documentation related to design, testing, and operational procedures Stay current with advancements in SIGINT systems and recommend improvements to existing systems Participate in project planning, risk assessment, and management activities Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members This position is expected to be 100% onsite.

The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location. This position requires a current Tier 5 (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) (U.S. Citizenship required) or requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.

Required Skills: Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science Proven experience in the design, integration, and testing of SIGINT systems Strong understanding of sensor technologies, data acquisition, and data processing techniques Knowledge of communication systems and data transmission protocols Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment Experience with software tools for simulation and modeling of sensor systems Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools Education / Experience: Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science Benefits offered to vary by the contract.
