Technical Project Manager

Dallas, TX (Onsite – 5 days per week)

Job Summary

We are seeking a Technical Project Manager to plan, initiate, and manage complex IT projects. This role requires strong leadership, technical understanding, and the ability to serve as a liaison between business and technical teams. The ideal candidate will ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Plan, initiate, and manage IT projects from conception to completion.

  • Lead and guide technical staff, assigning duties and monitoring performance.

  • Develop and update project plans, including objectives, technologies, schedules, funding, and staffing.

  • Manage execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope.

  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.

  • Facilitate meetings with stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors.

  • Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

  • Negotiate with stakeholders or suppliers to secure resources and materials.

  • Establish and execute communication plans to keep all parties informed.

  • Coordinate recruitment or selection of project personnel when needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.

  • 8–12 years of IT project management experience, with proven leadership in Agile/Scrum environments.

  • Strong knowledge of SDLC, CI/CD, and IT infrastructure.

  • Proficiency with project management tools (JIRA, MS Project, Confluence).

  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and DevOps practices.

  • Ability to perform cost‑benefit analyses and ROI assessments.

  • Familiarity with vendor management and contract negotiations.

Work Context

  • Onsite role (Dallas, TX) – 5 days per week.

  • Fast‑paced environment requiring cross‑functional collaboration.
