UGL's Utilities O&M business delivers critical maintenance, construction and network services across electricity transmission and distribution infrastructure in Victoria. In partnership with key clients such as Powercor and AusNet, we support network upgrades, maintenance programs, outages and essential infrastructure projects.
About the roleWe're looking for a hands on Project Manager who enjoys taking ownership, building relationships, solving problems and delivering projects from start to finish. This is a "here's the project, go and get it done" type of role. You'll be responsible for managing multiple projects at various stages of delivery, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to a high standard. Projects may range from smaller lump sum works through to larger network delivery programs, with responsibility for planning, scheduling, subcontractor management, commercial performance, client relationships and overall project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Lead power network projects through the full project lifecycle, from tendering and planning through to delivery and close out.
- Manage project performance across safety, scope, schedule, budget, quality and risk to ensure successful outcomes.
- Oversee project planning, resource allocation, subcontractors, procurement and project governance activities.
- Build strong relationships with clients, crews, contractors and stakeholders while providing leadership to project teams.
- Drive commercial performance, including forecasting, cost control, variations, tender support and continuous improvement initiatives.

- Experience in a similar Project Manager position within electricity distribution, transmission, utilities or power network environments.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasting, variations and project costs.
- Experience managing subcontractors, field crews and project stakeholders.
- A solid understanding of project planning, scheduling, risk and delivery management.
- The ability to confidently communicate with clients and build trusted relationships and travel to electricity depots around Victoria.
