ROLE SUMMARY

Hands-on SAP CAR Retail - configuration consultant on the pricing and promotions workstream, working alongside three other internal consultants toward a July 2027 go-live. This is a doing role, not an oversight one: build, test and demo in the system daily, own the assigned objects end to end, and work directly with client business users on design detail. Takes direction from the pricing lead but is expected to run their own scope without supervision.

MUST-HAVE SAP SKILLS (HANDS-ON, CONFIGURATION LEVEL)

• SAP CAR Customer Activity Repository: master data and transaction replication from S/4HANA & POS Data Transfer Scope: Campaigns, Offers and BOGO.

• PMR Promotion Management for Retail: offer and promotion planning, versioning and approval, promotion hierarchy, forecast interaction (UDF / DDF), outbound of promotions to pricing and POS.

• OPP Omnichannel Promotion Pricing: price and promotion rule modelling, calculation service behavior, consistent price derivation across store POS, e-commerce and other channels.

• S/4HANA retail pricing Integration with SAP S/4 from CAR - sales price calculation, pricing procedures and the condition technique, price lists, markdowns, regular price maintenance, rounding etc.

DELIVERY EXPERIENCE & WORKING STYLE

• 2 3 full-lifecycle SAP Retail implementations with personal build responsibility on pricing/promotions.
• Hands-on daily: configuration, functional specs, unit and SIT test scripts, defect fixes, data loads and cutover tasks.
• Runs their own working sessions with client business users, documents decisions cleanly, and escalates to the pricing lead early rather than sitting on an issue.
• Has delivered to a fixed go-live and understands what SIT, UAT, data conversion and hypercare demand of pricing.
• Retail industry background (grocery, fashion).
