Director of Employer Health Products

A growing health insurance organization is seeking a Director of Employer Health Products to lead product strategy, implementation, and ongoing management across employer-facing lines of business, including ASO/Self-Funded, Fully Insured, Level Funded, and ancillary products.

This individual will be responsible for translating business objectives into market-ready product offerings, driving product innovation, and overseeing the development and execution of solutions that support growth, retention, and operational excellence. The role will serve as a key liaison between Product, Sales, Actuarial, Operations, Network Management, Legal, Compliance, and executive leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead product strategy and execution across employer-sponsored health plan offerings
• Own ASO/self-funded product management, including benefit configurations, service models, and stop-loss solutions
• Oversee product roadmap development, implementation, and enhancement initiatives
• Partner with sales leadership on employer and broker-facing opportunities, RFPs, and product positioning
• Ensure products are operationally sound, financially viable, and compliant with applicable regulations
• Drive collaboration across internal stakeholders to bring new products and enhancements to market
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of product professionals

Ideal Background

• 10+ years of experience in health insurance product management
• Deep expertise in ASO/self-funded products, employer benefits, and stop-loss structures
• Experience with Fully Insured and/or Level Funded products
• Leadership experience managing product teams and large cross-functional initiatives
• Strong understanding of employer-sponsored healthcare, benefit design, and product operations
• Proven ability to work closely with Actuarial, Sales, Compliance, Network, and Operations teams
• Excellent communication skills with experience presenting to executive leadership and external stakeholders
