Senior Data Analyst

Minimum qualification:

The candidate must demonstrate either:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Information Management, Actuarial Science, or a related field and two years of relevant experience; or
• Six years of relevant experience performing data analysis, reporting, performance measurement, or related analytical functions.

Scope of Work

• KPI Tracking: Overall program data (entry/exit, monthly contacts, status, etc.), monitoring graduation metrics, retention rates, persistence rates, credit attempt and accumulation, co-requisite course enrollment and completion, semester and course level academic data, and ASAP student contacts (advising, career, tutoring, learning squad, programming);
• Survey Administration: Manage the process of Advisor Feedback Surveys, Career Survey’s and Assessments, and Student Engagement Assessments;
• Compliance Reporting: Preparing monthly and end-of-semester data sets for institutional and grant-provider reporting;
• Financial Resources: Tuition, Textbook, and Incentive distribution tracking;
• Demographic Data Characteristics: Gender, Race/Ethnicity, Age, Admission Type;
• Predictive Modeling: Identifying "at-risk" scholars based on academic outcomes, early-alert/progress report data to trigger timely interventions;
• Comparative Data: Comparison of KPI against comparable student populations on the college, regional and national levels;
• Data Visualization: Create "Student Success Dashboards" for leadership (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI, Business Objects, Microsoft Teams or advanced Microsoft Excel);
• Confidentiality: Strict adherence to FERPA guidelines and institutional data security protocols; and
• System Integration: Familiarity with higher education CRM’s and/or Student Information Systems (SIS) like Colleague, Banner, PeopleSoft, Navigate or Starfish.
