Job Description
* Engineer secure network solutions including routing, switching, firewall, and VPN technologies
* Monitor and optimize network performance, availability, and capacity across mission-critical environments
* Investigate and resolve complex network issues, outages, and security-related events
* Support classified network compliance activities including system hardening, audit readiness, and accreditation efforts
* Apply cybersecurity best practices to network architecture, segmentation, access controls, and device configuration
* Create and maintain network diagrams, implementation plans, technical documentation, and standard operating procedures
* Execute network changes in accordance with established configuration management and change control processes
* Partner with cybersecurity, systems administration, and program teams to maintain secure and compliant infrastructure
* Support technology refresh, network modernization, and lifecycle replacement efforts
* Provide technical leadership and mentorship to less experienced team members as needed
* Participate in on-call rotation, scheduled maintenance windows, and after-hours operational support as required
Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience, or Graduate degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience, or in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience
* Experience supporting enterprise network infrastructure in secure or classified environments
* Experience with routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and network monitoring/management tools
* Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, VLANs, ACLs, STP, and QoS
* Experience with secure network design, implementation, and sustainment
* Ability to troubleshoot and resolve advanced network performance and connectivity issues
* Experience with technical documentation, network diagrams, and formal change management processes
* Strong communication and collaboration skills
* Ability to work onsite in Salt Lake City, UT
* Active Secret security clearance required, or ability to obtain and maintain one as required by the program
Preferred Additional Skills * Experience supporting DoD or other federal classified network environments
* Familiarity with DISA STIGs, RMF, NIST 800-53, and related cybersecurity/compliance frameworks
* CCNA certification
* Experience with Cisco, Palo Alto, Juniper, or equivalent enterprise technologies
* Additional certifications such as Security+, CCIE, CISSP or firewall/security vendor certifications
* Experience with enclave architecture, cross-domain solutions, or air-gapped network environments
* Experience supporting network modernization, infrastructure refresh, or mission systems integration efforts
* Prior experience serving as a technical lead, senior engineer, or subject matter expert
Security Clearance This position requires an active Secret clearance at time of hire and the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance. Work Environment * Onsite work in a classified environment
