Data Architect Google Cloud Platform / BigQuery / Power BI

Job Description:
Assess the client data landscape and design an end-to-end Google Cloud Platform platform spanning ingestion, GCS landing, BigQuery, transformations, semantic models and Power BI. Define scalable architecture, security, governance, cost controls and delivery standards, present trade-offs and guide implementation.

Important Skills to Cover:
1.BigQuery and Modelling:
Expert BigQuery modelling, partitioning/clustering, performance, and cost/slot management; dimensional modelling, SCD and layered data architecture.
2.Google Cloud Platform Ingestion and Processing:
GCS, Dataflow, DataStream, Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer and Cloud Run/Functions; ingest REST APIs, spreadsheets, semi-structured and HTML data.
3.PostgreSQL and ELT:
Deep PostgreSQL CDC/logical replication and TB-scale migration; strong SQL and Data form or dbt.
4.Power BI Architecture:
Semantic models, Import/Direct Query/Composite choices, gateways, incremental refresh, RLS and BigQuery performance.
5.Governance and Delivery:
IAM, VPC Service Controls, KMS/CMEK, policy tags and Dataplex; Terraform, CI/CD, architecture documentation, HA/DR and stakeholder workshops.

Preferred Skills:
Google Cloud Platform Professional Cloud Architect or Professional Data Engineer certification; Python; data observability tools; streaming analytics; telecom domain exposure.
