Job Description

Principal Linux Systems Administrator to join our team in Chantilly, VA.
As a Principal Systems Administrator you will perform and lead system administration functions in a Linuxbased private Cloud environment. Must be a self-starter with a strong background in Unix/Linux, scripting/automation, virtualization/Cloud infrastructure, storage and networking. Experience with DevOps tools is a plus.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited:
• Utilize your knowledge of Linux, scripting, and Cloud architecture to provide solutions to automate services and processes for a private cloud environment
• Work with a team to design and create a scalable, resilient, and automated private cloud infrastructure
• Analyze stakeholder requirements and design constraints to evaluate optimal solutions in compliance with DoD guidelines
• Build, configure and maintain virtual servers utilizing Linux and scripting skills to automate repetitive tasks
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree or 4+ years of additional experience of relevant experience in lieu of • 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity, administration of Linux
• Demonstrated experience creating and managing virtual environments (VMWare ESX, VCenter Administration)
• Experience configuring and maintaining storage and file systems (NFS, EXT3/4, XFS)
• Proficiency in working with applicable network devices to include routers and switches, gateways and hubs
• Minimum 7 years of experience with computer networking protocols including, but not limited to TCP, IP, UDP, HTTP, DHCP, and DNS
• Demonstrated experience working with a team to introduce and integrate new technologies into existing production environments
• 5 years of experience with integrated processing environments such as a Storage Area Network
• Experience in developing and delivering briefings, technical presentations, and program documentation to senior program management

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with DevOps tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, SALT, Puppet desirable
• Experience with cross-domain solutions or Nifi desirable for some positions
Clearance Requirements:
• Must possess a current and active TS/SCI with polygraph
