Senior Tennis Coach - DITC

Overview

The Senior Tennis Coach - DITC role is based full-time at the Darwin International Tennis Centre (DITC), operated by Tennis NT. The centre offers programs for all ages and skill levels, including Hotshots, school tennis programs, holiday clinics, adult beginner and cardio lessons, and private lessons.

Responsibilities

• Actively involve all students on court and identify areas of player improvement.
• Provide opportunities for student progression and skill development through a range of learning and feedback methods.
• Have the ability to deliver quality programs and performance outcomes across a range of programs.
• Understand the club offering, and the overall NT offering - and be able to communicate it clearly and confidently to promote tennis.
• Proactively and positively work with the NT tennis community to grow tennis in the NT.

Qualifications

• Prior teaching and tennis coaching experience across all ages and skill groups (pre-school through to adults).
• A Tennis Australia Trainee Coach or the commitment and ability to acquire a Junior Development Coach (level 1) qualification within 12 months.
• Senior First Aid including CPR qualification (or willingness to obtain).
• Good knowledge of Tennis, and the Australian tennis pathway.
• Racquet gripping and stringing experience (or ability to learn).
• A current Police Check and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
• Preparedness to be flexible in regard to working hours and arrangements relating to work associated with Tennis NT.
