Overnight Barista - Foothills Medical Centre

Located inside Foothills Medical Centre, Good Earth Coffeehouse serves healthcare professionals, patients, visitors, and hospital staff around the clock.

Our overnight team plays an important role in supporting the hospital community during the late-night and early-morning hours, providing fresh coffee, food, and friendly service when many other options are closed.

Sodexo is looking for a dependable and self-motivated Overnight Barista to join our Good Earth Coffeehouse team at Foothills Medical Centre.

As an Overnight Barista, you'll provide friendly and efficient service to healthcare workers, patients, and visitors throughout the night. Because overnight shifts operate differently from our daytime service, you'll need to be comfortable working independently, staying organized, and taking initiative without constant supervision.

What You'll Do

• Prepare coffee, espresso, tea, and specialty beverages
• Serve food and baked goods
• Provide friendly and professional customer service throughout the night
• Take orders and accurately process cash and card transactions
• Restock beverages, food, and supplies
• Maintain clean, organized, and attractive café and service areas
• Complete cleaning and sanitation tasks throughout the shift
• Monitor product quality, freshness, and presentation
• Follow food safety, cash-handling, and company procedures
• Complete overnight tasks and help prepare the café for the morning team

This position is a great fit for someone who is reliable, comfortable working independently, and enjoys creating a welcoming environment even during the quieter overnight hours.

• Previous café, food service, retail, or customer service experience is an asset
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Dependable and punctual, with a strong commitment to attendance
• Comfortable working overnight hours
• Able to work independently and manage responsibilities with limited supervision
• Strong organization and time-management skills
• Able to stay productive during both busy and quieter periods
• Comfortable standing for extended periods and performing the physical duties of the position
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and cash-handling procedures is an asset

Previous Barista experience is an asset, but reliability, initiative, and the ability to work independently are especially important for this position.
