Job Description

RMF Engineering, Inc is seeking is currently seeking an Electrical Design Engineer in our Boston, Massachusetts office. Salary range, $100,000-$120,000 per year.

Responsibilities:

  • Power distribution, including riser diagrams and panel schedules
  • Lighting design, including fixture selection and controls
  • Low-voltage systems including fire alarm, security and controls
  • Calculate loads, fault current, and voltage drop
  • Performing field surveys and construction phase support

Required Qualifications:

  • 3 Years minimum design experience with electrical systems
  • BS in Electrical Engineering degree from an accredited college or university
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally will be required
  • Minimum requirements include a BSEE and 5 years of related experience
  • Professional registration or ability to obtain professional registration
  • Experience with power system modeling and analysis using SKM is a major plus
  • Experience in Autodesk Revit software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PE registration
  • Higher Ed and Healthcare design experience
  • Experience in power distribution and low-voltage systems
  • Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) and standard industry design practices
  • Strong teamwork, communications, and client relationship skills
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment
