IAM Engineer

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Entra Identity and Access Management (IAM) professional with strong foundational knowledge of IAM principles and hands-on expertise in Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD). The ideal candidate will design, operate, and optimize enterprise-scale identity solutions and build automation-driven workflows that streamline Tier 1 support operations and reduce operational load in a large enterprise environment.

This role emphasizes alerting automation, workflow optimization, and process orchestration to improve speed, accuracy, reliability, and compliance across identity operations

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support IAM solutions using Microsoft Entra ID.
• Manage Identity Governance capabilities including Joiner-Mover-Leaver (JML), access reviews, entitlement management, and RBAC.
• Implement and support SSO, MFA, CIAM, and Conditional Access policies.
• Build and maintain automation workflows for alerts, remediation, and access lifecycle management.
• Integrate enterprise applications with Entra ID for authentication, authorization, SSO, and MFA.
• Troubleshoot complex identity issues across Entra ID, ADFS, and Active Directory.
• Optimize IAM processes and workflows integrated with ServiceNow ITSM and Jira.
• Monitor Entra ID services and alerts to ensure SLA compliance and operational stability.
• Coordinate with security, infrastructure, and application teams to manage dependencies and deliver outcomes.
• Proactively identify risks, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities and communicate mitigation plans.
• Participate in audits, client discussions, and governance reviews related to identity operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience working with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).
• Strong hands-on experience with:

• Entra ID Governance
• SSO, MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication), CIAM
• Conditional Access
• Joiner-Mover-Leaver (JML) provisioning and deprovisioning
• Access reviews and RBAC
• Enterprise application integrations

• In-depth understanding of Microsoft Entra ID architecture, components, services, and dependencies.
• Proven experience in Entra ID operations and troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of IAM processes including Identity Governance, JML, Recertification, SSO, MFA, and RBAC.
• Solid understanding of identity and authentication protocols:

• SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, ADFS, Modern Authentication
• Kerberos and NTLM

• Experience working with ServiceNow ITSM and Jira workflows.
• Hands-on experience with:

• Azure APIs, Microsoft Graph APIs, REST APIs
• PowerShell scripting and automation
• Directories, databases, and SQL (working knowledge)

• Experience with monitoring and alerting tools in enterprise environments.
• Strong analytical and methodical approach with high attention to detail.
• Excellent coordination, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Strong client-facing and presentation abilities.
• Ability to work under fixed SLAs and aggressive timelines.
