Job Description
As the Director of Enterprise Agility & Operating Model, you will serve as a key strategic leader within the Fleet Ecosystem Leadership Team (FELT), an overarching governance layer responsible for steering cross-portfolio vision and execution across the organization. Sitting at the intersection of Product, Architecture, Organizational Change Management (OCM), Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), and Operations, you will steward, evolve, and facilitate the end-to-end Fleet operating model. You will own strategy-to-execution alignment, optimize cross-portfolio flow, eliminate systemic bottlenecks, and establish high-performing organizational cadences. This high-impact role requires an experienced leader to drive continuous delivery improvement, mature governance structures, and foster cross-functional accountability in a complex, modernized enterprise environment.

responsibilities:
Steward the Operating Model: Lead the adoption, ongoing evolution, and consistency of the Fleet operating model to ensure seamless cross-functional alignment with strategic business goals.
Drive Strategy-to-Execution Alignment: Facilitate leadership prioritization, track portfolio interdependencies, and translate overarching Fleet vision into coordinated execution across all portfolios.
Facilitate Leadership Collaboration: Lead the Fleet Ecosystem Leadership Team (FELT) to resolve cross-functional challenges, bridge organizational gaps, and build shared accountability across domain leaders.
Optimize Portfolio Cadence & Flow: Establish leadership cadences, oversee cross-portfolio synchronization, manage dependencies, and eliminate delivery bottlenecks to maximize organizational flow.
Lead Continuous Improvement & Coaching: Facilitate retrospectives, operating model health assessments, and workshops to coach executive leaders and engineering teams on modern flow and delivery practices.
Oversee Governance & Metrics: Implement frameworks to track organizational health, manage systemic delivery risks, and present actionable performance insights to executive leadership.
qualifications:
Active SAFe 6 Practice Consultant (SPC) certification and current enablement credentials.
8+ years of progressive experience coaching complex enterprise organizations through large-scale modernization and agile transformations.
6+ years of hands-on experience in an Engineering, IT, or related technology environment.
Proven track record transitioning legacy Waterfall environments to Agile Product Delivery models within complex, highly regulated industries.
Deep proficiency with enterprise planning and execution tools, specifically Jira Align, Jira Software, Confluence, and AgilityInsights.
Mastery of modern software delivery methodologies, including Waterfall, Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, XP, and DevSecOps.
Executive-level communication, presentation, and meeting facilitation skills with a track record of translating complex strategy to large audiences.
Active presence and network within the external product, agile, and value management professional communities.
Ability to work effectively in a virtual environment (camera-on culture) and travel quarterly for multi-day PI Planning events along the Northeast corridor.
