Job Description

Role Summary

The Senior Project Manager, Data Center Development is the accountable day-to-day leader responsible for end-to-end delivery of Keel’s data center campus in Lehigh Valley, PA. Reporting to the SVP, Construction, this role owns project execution from pre-construction through commissioning — driving schedule, budget, quality, and safety outcomes through a combination of direct oversight and close collaboration with an existing owner’s representative team, as well as the management of external consultants, contractors, and vendors.

This is a hands-on position suited to a construction professional with a proven track record delivering complex, large-scale infrastructure on time and on budget. The ideal candidate combines strong cost management discipline with the technical judgment to both produce and critically review project deliverables — budgets, schedules, risk registers, and contractor work products — whether generated internally or by an owner’s rep partner. The role requires someone equally comfortable building a schedule from scratch and pressure-testing one built by others.

This role is on-site at the Lehigh Valley project site a minimum of four (4) days per week.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery & Execution

  • Single point of accountability for the data center campus, from design development through construction, commissioning, and turnover
  • Manage and coordinate A&E firms, General Contractors, commissioning agents, and other third-party consultants and vendors

Cost & Budget Management

  • Own the project budget end-to-end, including cost tracking, forecasting, variance analysis, and change order control
  • Review and validate contractor pay applications, cost reports, and financial deliverables

Safety & Quality

  • Establish and enforce project safety standards across all contractor and vendor teams on site
  • Ensure all work meets or exceeds applicable building codes and industry best practices for critical infrastructure

Stakeholder & Regulatory Coordination

  • Primary project-level interface between the development and internal cross-functional teams, with regular status reporting to the SVP, Construction
  • Coordinate permitting strategies and maintain relationships with municipal authorities, utility partners, and regulatory agencies

Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum 8 years of infrastructure project management experience, including at least 4 years in data center development or large-scale utility interconnection projects
  • Demonstrated success delivering complex construction projects ($50M+) involving multiple contractors, with strong cost tracking and change order management experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
  • Working knowledge of data center design/construction, power distribution systems, and construction contract structures (GMP, lump sum, design-build, CM at-risk)

Preferred

  • Experience with data center, mission-critical facility, or heavy industrial/power infrastructure construction
  • HPC or hyperscale data center pre-construction planning and post-contract delivery experience
  • Professional certification such as PMP or P.Eng.; MBA or equivalent advanced credential a plus

Other

  • This role is onsite at our project site in Lehigh Valley, PA, in person 5 days per week.
  • Compensation includes a base salary, year-end bonus target, and yearly equity grant.
