Job Description

At Retirement Villages Group (RVG), we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to age well. Our villages empower people to live independently, stay connected, and enjoy life on their own terms.

We're looking for a Resident Liaison Co-ordinator to join our team at Avonpark Retirement Village in Winsley, Bath on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in supporting our residents during an exciting period of village development and investment.

As the key link between residents, contractors, project teams and village management, you'll help ensure residents feel informed, supported and listened to throughout the development programme.

If you're an excellent communicator who enjoys building relationships, solving problems and creating positive experiences for customers and communities, we'd love to hear from you.

About the Role

This is a highly visible role within the village, requiring someone who is approachable, organised and confident engaging with a wide range of people.

You'll act as the primary point of contact for residents regarding construction and development works, helping to communicate plans, manage concerns and ensure any disruption is handled with care and professionalism.

Working closely with village leadership, contractors and project teams, you'll help maintain trust, foster positive relationships and ensure residents remain at the centre of decision-making throughout the development period.

What You'll Be Doing

Resident Engagement & Communication

  • Act as the main point of contact for residents regarding ongoing development and construction activity.
  • Keep residents informed through regular updates, meetings, newsletters and communications.
  • Build trusted relationships and ensure residents feel listened to and supported.
  • Respond to questions and concerns, coordinating solutions with the relevant teams.
  • Support resident forums, briefing sessions and community engagement activities.

Stakeholder & Contractor Liaison

  • Work closely with contractors, project managers and development teams.
  • Ensure resident needs and concerns are understood and considered throughout the project.
  • Coordinate responses to resident queries and follow actions through to resolution.
  • Attend project meetings and represent the resident perspective where appropriate.
  • Monitor the impact of works on the village environment and proactively raise potential issues.

Community Engagement

  • Maintain positive relationships with local organisations, businesses and community groups.
  • Identify opportunities for Avonpark to remain connected to the wider local community throughout the development programme.
  • Act as a positive ambassador for RVG and the village.

Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement

  • Take ownership of issues and help find practical solutions.
  • Gather feedback from residents and stakeholders.
  • Identify ways to improve communication, engagement and the overall resident experience.
  • Maintain accurate records of concerns, actions and outcomes.

What We're Looking For

We're interested in hearing from people with experience in customer service, community engagement, housing, property, construction liaison, retirement living, hospitality or another people-focused environment.

You'll ideally have:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Confidence handling sensitive conversations and resolving concerns professionally.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience coordinating communications and community engagement activities.
  • Confidence translating complex information into clear, accessible messages.
  • Emotional resilience and sound judgement.
  • A genuine passion for delivering excellent customer experiences and supporting communities.
