Job Description

Role Summary
The Senior Environmental Engineer is responsible for overseeing environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives across assigned facilities and operations. This role involves coordinating daily environmental activities, ensuring adherence to regulations, and supporting operational teams in implementing environmental procedures. The position requires a proactive approach to identifying improvement opportunities and managing various environmental projects and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate day-to-day environmental compliance activities at assigned facilities.
  • Support operations to ensure consistent application of environmental procedures and best practices.
  • Identify opportunities for environmental improvements and implement corrective actions.
  • Prepare routine environmental reports, including NSPS and MACT documentation.
  • Ensure facilities are maintained in an inspection-ready state for agency audits.
  • Respond to environmental emergencies, spills, and manage short-term remediation projects.
  • Manage environmental contractors and coordinate environmental initiatives.
  • Communicate internal policies and best practices to personnel at all levels.
  • Implement waste minimization strategies and manage waste disposal processes.
  • Provide input on environmental procedures and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor''s degree in Engineering, Science, or related field (preferred).
  • 10 or more years of experience in the oil and gas industry complying with environmental regulations.
  • Experience with air (Title V) permits, stormwater, and wastewater management (preferred).
  • Strong oral and written communication skills suitable for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and work independently.
  • Physically capable of walking across terrain to response sites.
  • Knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements and ability to determine regulation applicability.
  • Flexibility to travel up to 10%.

Publishing Pay Range: $130,000.00 - $132,000.00 annually.
This position is based in office and requires employee to work on-site.
