Pay Rate: $47.00/hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday | On-Site

Job Duties

• Lead steering wheel engineering projects from concept, design, validation, and production launch through ongoing product support


• Develop technical specifications, packaging requirements, and engineering releases


• Collaborate with design, safety, interior, and user experience teams to optimize product performance, quality, and cost


• Partner with suppliers to manage engineering development, deliverables, and program timelines


• Support crash testing, product validation, and vehicle safety compliance activities


• Review component designs, identify improvements, and resolve technical issues


• Drive root cause analysis and implement effective engineering solutions

Education Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline

Experience Requirements

• 5+ years of automotive product development experience


• Experience with steering wheels, restraint systems, interior components, mechatronics, or related automotive systems


• Knowledge of GD&T, tolerance stack analysis, and manufacturing processes


• Experience supporting products through the full development lifecycle


• CAD proficiency and strong mechanical engineering fundamentals


• Experience managing suppliers and driving technical projects


• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
